Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived alongside 12 other kids. Her imaginative mind was a great way to get away from the harsh realities of everyday life. Songs were written by her before she knew how to read and write. Within 8 years she was playing her first guitar. When she was 11 years old when she was 11, she began singing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. In the same year, she recorded her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small label. While she was at school, she already made a name of herself within the local arena. But her dream was to to make music on a bigger size. In 1964, the day after her high school graduation the singer moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner began looking for new female vocalists for his syndicated television program at around the exact at the same time. Parton accepted the role in the year 1966. She joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 when her solo singles like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton following the breakup of their relationship with Wagoner she wrote the song I Will Always Love You and had it reach No. The first time it reached No. 1 was 1974.
