Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news website and a television host as well as a writer and an philanthropist. When she moved from Greece to England from Greece at the age of 16, she received a MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it before the age of 21. The success of her conservative journalist was further consolidated when she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current state of the nation's politics. Arianna was able to attract many prominent contributors to share their opinions about politics and culture. Arianna gained notoriety after she was elected as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Alongside this, she led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. Forbes listed her as one of the "most important female" in the media industry and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL acquired The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. In 2012, she became the head of the media division at AOL. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are management consultants and journalists. Although she had a close relationship with her father, the relationship she had with her mother shaped the rest of her life. She was a leader from the beginning. When she was in her 16th year she returned to the UK for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. As a student and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the college debating societies and eventually was its first female and foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. Her career as an anchor and reporter started after her graduation. She also appeared in the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from him.
