Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and first made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. When she was a teenager, her family moved from Canada to the United States. Paquin was in a brief role in the film's title role when she was just a young girl on Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and she was a leading character in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 movie Amistad. She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
